  • I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Ashok was amazing! Super friendly, helpful, and always checking if we needed anything. He made our visit even better.

  • First time in Portugal and I had an amazing experience here! The staff are so kind ans attentive. The three staff I'd like to highlight are Ashok, Bilal and Anita. They are all amazing. If any of them are your servers you'll have an excellent experience. Ashok took the time to tell me about the menu and how it works, clarifying what and how locals eat and order their meals. Bilal gave me a quick history lesson on the beer. I ignorantly asked for a Superbok because I was in Porto first and thought that was the Portuguese standard. Bilal informed me in Lisbon they drink Sagres and that Lisboetas prefer this (probably because Superbok sponsors FC Porto ). Last but not least is Anita. She was very friendly, she answered all my questions about Lisbon and even questions that had nothing to do with her work per say. Which is a great reflection of her work ethic and dedication to providing excellent customer service. If you're in Lisbon and have the time, PLEASE visit Cafe Portugal. They have both indoor and outdoor seating depending on your preference. The outdoor seating is heated , which was perfect for me because I'm not a big fan of being cold while I eat/drink. The outdoor patio (see photos) is nicely laid out and has a blue and white theme with an undertone of green. Overall I had a greya experience and I would highly recommend anyone to visit. Having worked customer service myself, it can be a thankless job, but when one has a great attitude and work ethic as observed with the aforementioned, you can't go wrong. When I visit Lisbon again I WILL be coming back to Cafe Portugal. See the photos for the menu. There's so many options!!! I didn't even take pictures of all the items available. Whether you want to eat, drink or both....Cafe Portugal is the place to be.

  • Brilliant food, really tasty and good value for money. Our server, Victor was really friendly and accommodating. We were seated outside when it started to rain and he quickly moved us to a drier table. Would definitely recommend, thank you so much

  • Café Portugal offers a nice dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The place is clean and well-presented, though I noticed there were no tissues available on the tables, which was a bit inconvenient. I ordered Cataplana de Bacalhau com Camarão, a traditional Portuguese dish made with tomato, bell pepper, onion, coriander, and potato. The taste was good, but it was a bit too salty, and the portion of shrimp was quite small — only three pieces for one fish serving. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but overall, it’s a pleasant place to try local Portuguese cuisine if you don’t mind paying a bit extra.
